iDocQ - Breakout Sessions

There is a choice of breakout sessions available to delegates attending this year’s iDocQ. These are, namely:

Breakout 1: Writing (and rewriting) the literature review
Chair: Prof Hazel Hall, Edinburgh Napier University
Aimed primarily at first years who are in the process of writing the early draft of their literature reviews, and final year students who are rewriting their literature reviews for the thesis submission.

Breakout 2: Defining and redefining research questions
Chair: Prof Forbes Gibb, University of Strathclyde
Aimed primarily at first and second years keen to discuss strategies for determining the focus of their empirical work.

Breakout 3: Preparing for fieldwork
Chair: Dr Iain Anderson, University of Glasgow
Aimed primarily at second year students who are planning to collect their empirical data.

Breakout 4: Defending the thesis
Chair: Prof Peter Reid, Robert Gordon University
Aimed primarily at final year students who are writing up and preparing for the viva.
